Frequently asked questions
Before packaging and product graphic design begins
Practical answers about formats, dielines, content, production files, product ranges, proofing, timing, and pricing.
What types of packaging and product graphics can BEMS design?
BEMS can design packaging visual systems, folding cartons, boxes, sleeves, labels, stickers, wraps, pouches, product bags, inserts, packaging graphics for approved containers, range extensions, SKU variants, and coordinated point-of-purchase graphics.
Can BEMS create the dieline for our packaging?
BEMS typically works from the final dieline supplied and approved by your packaging manufacturer, structural packaging partner, or printer. If structural packaging development is needed, that requirement should be identified before the graphic design scope is approved.
Do we need final copy, barcodes, and required product information?
Final or near-final content creates the most efficient process. The client should supply and approve product names, descriptions, ingredients, instructions, claims, warnings, legal or regulatory text, symbols, barcodes, and other required content. BEMS can organize the approved information visually but does not verify legal, regulatory, scientific, or barcode accuracy.
Can BEMS extend an existing design across new products or SKUs?
Yes. BEMS can adapt an approved packaging system across new sizes, variants, flavors, products, and formats. The scope depends on the number of SKUs, whether the existing system is documented, and how much the new packaging structures differ from the original.
Will the final packaging artwork be print-ready?
BEMS can prepare final artwork around confirmed vendor specifications and approved dielines. The printer or manufacturer remains responsible for reviewing separations, materials, finishes, tolerances, barcodes, color proofs, and production suitability before manufacturing.
Can BEMS coordinate packaging with point-of-purchase displays?
Yes. Packaging graphics can be coordinated with counter displays, shelf graphics, display headers, promotional panels, and other point-of-purchase materials so the product and retail message feel connected.
How much does packaging and product graphic design cost?
Pricing depends on the number of packaging formats and SKUs, concept development, content readiness, dieline status, custom graphics, illustration or image needs, finishes, production specifications, revisions, stakeholder review, deadline, and whether support is project-based or ongoing.
